News: Webster gave up three earned runs on seven hits while walking two and fanning three over six innings of a no-decision against the Angels on Tuesday. Impact: Aside from a third-inning RBI-triple to Mike Trout, Webster held his own against the potent Angels offense, tossing 19-of-26 first-pitch strikes and keeping the ball in the ballpark. The sophomore retains his 3-1 record and now owns a 4.73 ERA with a 1.46 WHIP and horrendous 18:13 BB:K ratio in five starts (26.2 innings) this season with the BoSox.(RotoWire, )

News: Webster was able to survive a rocky start Thursday night, an indication the pitcher is making the in-game adjustments on which Red Sox coaches have been working with him, WEEI.com reports. "I think we're seeing some small gains here," manager John Farrell said. "When you compare to two starts ago where things might have gotten away from him a bit, I think more than anything, he'll wake up tomorrow knowing there's another win next to his name, and hopefully that's added confidence along the way." Impact: Webster walked two batters early and threw 15 of his first 24 pitches out of zone, but just 14 in his final four innings. Two starts ago, Webster got on a bad roll, walking six and getting pulled after 2.2 innings.(RotoWire, )

News: Webster gave up four runs -- three earned -- and five hits over six innings to earn the win against Houston on Thursday. Impact: Webster actually trailed 4-0 early, but Boston rallied for seven runs in the sixth inning. He was roughed up in his first start of the month on August 2, but has been solid in his last two outings. He'll remain in the rotation for the foreseeable future, and his next scheduled start will be at home against the Angels.(RotoWire, )

News: Webster (2-1) picked up the win on Friday against the Angels as he gave up two runs on four hits, while allowing two walks and striking out six hitters in 6.2 innings pitched. Impact: It was a better-than-expected night for the young fireball pitcher as Webster only threw 84 pitches on the night before being pulled in the seventh inning. Webster got hitters to chase his pitch for most of the night, while lowering his ERA to 4.91 on the season. He next takes the mound on Thursday against the Astros.(RotoWire, )
