News: Segura (personal) rejoined the Brewers on Thursday morning and will be available for the team's weekend series with the Nationals, Greg Matzek of 620 WTMJ reports. Impact: Segura had returned to his native Dominican Republic on Saturday after the unfortunate passing of his infant son. While the Brewers were willing to give Segura as much time off as he needed to cope with the tragedy, it appears the shortstop now feels ready to resume playing. Manager Ron Roenicke did mention that the club might not use Segura on an everyday basis right away just to give him some days off to clear his mind, but it should only be a short while before he returns to regular duty.(RotoWire, )

News: The Brewers are still in the process of trying to contact Segura to see what his plans are to rejoin the team following the tragic passing of his 9-month-old son, the Journal Sentinel's Tom Haudricourt reports. "I've made phone calls today to try to make contact with him," general manager Doug Melvin said Wednesday. "I haven't been able to make contact at this time. I'm hoping to find out today. We've left messages but we haven't heard back. We just don't know right now... Whatever Jean decides, we will support him."
