News: Santiago was hammered by the Rangers on Friday, allowing seven runs (six earned) on seven hits in an inning-plus. Impact: Santiago has really struggled in his last two outings, allowing nine earned runs in three-plus innings. News: Santiago was roughed up by the Astros on Sunday, allowing three runs on five hits in two-plus innings en route to his eighth loss of the season. He walked five and struck out four in the contest. Impact: Santiago simply didn't have it Sunday, as it took him 82 pitches to complete the shortened outing. The 26-year-old recently voiced a desire to be given more length on the mound, but he certainly didn't do himself any favors in that regard in this contest. He will attempt to put the ugly outing behind him when he takes a 3.55 ERA into a matchup against the Rangers on Friday.(RotoWire, )

News: Santiago allowed one run on five hits and one walk, while striking out two over five innings, in a win over the Rangers on Tuesday. Impact: Santiago seems to be getting frustrated with the lack of length he is afforded on a start-by-start basis, as he told Alden Gonzalez of MLB.com, "I feel like I can go more, but hey, who am I?" Manager Mike Scioscia said that Santiago's leash in games will continue to be decided by matchups and situations. Santiago will take a 3.38 ERA into his next start against the Astros on Sunday.(RotoWire, )
