News: Lyles (6-3) was handed the loss Sunday against the Cardinals, after giving up three runs on nine hits and two walks over six frames. Impact: Lyles turned in a quality effort, but it wasn't enough for the Rockies to avoid the sweep, especially with lefty Marco Gonzales quieting the Colorado bats. Though the Rockies figure to address their rotation in the offseason, Lyles looks to be on fairly sturdy ground for a starting role in 2015. He owns a palatable 4.21 ERA and 1.35 WHIP over 115.1 innings.(RotoWire, )

News: Lyles did not record a decision Monday against the Mets as he pitched six innings and allowed one run, three hits and two walks to go along with four strikeouts. Impact: Lyles seems to have trouble providing the Rockies with much length as he has pitched more than six innings only once over his last 12 starts. He has a 4.20 ERA and 81 strikeouts in 109.1 innings this season overall, leaving him with limited fantasy value.(RotoWire, )

News: Lyles pitched 6.1 innings Tuesday against the Giants, allowing six runs on eight hits and two walks, while striking out five in the no-decision. Impact: After two semi-decent starts in which he gave up six runs in 11.2 innings, Lyles took a step back Tuesday. He could not even hold a 7-1 lead after five innings. Lyles now has a 4.35 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and 77:42 K:BB ratio in 103.1 innings pitched this year. His next start is scheduled for Monday on the road against the Mets.(RotoWire, )
