News: Davidson went 2-for-3 with a double and a homer Wednesday against Triple-A Durham.
Impact: The home run was already Davidson's third of the season, and he's slugging a healthy .533 through 45 at-bats. Unfortunately, he's also struck out 16 times already, and his .289 average will likely tumble when his .385 BABIP begins to decline. Still, if Davidson can keep things hot, a promotion to Chicago may not be out of the question, especially if Conor Gillaspie is unable to recapture his 2014 magic.

News: The White Sox optioned Davidson to Triple-A Charlotte on Wednesday, the Daily Herald reports.
Impact: Davidson struggled to make good contact this spring, going 2-for-14 with just one extra-base hit in his eight games played. The White Sox are not pulling the plug quite yet, but it is clear that there is a fair amount of work to do before he can compete for the club's third base gig. Expect Conor Gillaspie to serve as the Sox's third baseman for much of the year.
