News: Duda agreed to a one-year contract with the New York Mets and avoided salary arbitration.
Impact: Duda agreed at $6,725,000, up from $4.2 million last year, when he hit .244 with 27 homers and 73 RBIs. The agreement was $75,000 above the midpoint between the $7.4 million he had asked for in arbitration and the $5.9 million the Mets had offered.

News: Duda agreed to a one-year, $6.275 million contract with the Mets on Friday, avoiding arbitration, MLB Network's Jon Heyman reports.
Impact: Duda had a rough two-month stretch in the middle of the 2015 season, but the final numbers were highly useful once again. There's little reason to believe the 29-year-old won't post another solid campaign in 2016.
