Justin Morneau has become the poster boy for concussions in baseball. He suffered a concussion on July 7, 2010, while sliding into second base against the Blue Jays and didn't play the rest of the season. He re-aggravated his concussion in September 2011 while diving for a ball at first base, essentially shutting him down for the season. Prior to the 2011 season, MLB instituted a new seven-day DL intended to give team doctors and the injured players more flexibility to address head injuries.

Take a look at the players who have missed time recently due to concussion-related issues.
