News: Santana will miss the Venezuelan Winter League finale due to shoulder discomfort, but an MRI revealed no structural damage, Jon Morosi of Fox Sports reports.
Impact: Santana has been working out with a Venezeulan winter ball team with hopes of making a comeback this season, but suffered another setback with more shoulder discomfort. While the lack of structural damage is encouraging, teams may be less willing to ink the veteran if he continues to show signs of a bum shoulder.

News: Santana is working out with a Venezuelan winter ball team and is intent on a making a comeback, Jon Heyman of CBSSports.com reports.
Impact: As Santana was approaching the final stretch in his recovery from a shoulder injury, he tore an Achilles during an extended spring training outing in June which ended his season. However, Santana was coming back from a second torn anterior capsule in his pitching shoulder and his comeback was hardly a sure thing before his Achilles injury. He hasn't pitched in the majors since 2012.
