The 2015 season had barely started before the Cardinals were dealt a major blow. Although the Cardinals are still playing great baseball and have pitched extremely well, there will always be a 'what if' attached as people wonder how this team would look had Wainwright not torn his Achilles tendon.

With Adam Wainwright out for the season the Cardinals needed other members of the starting rotation to step up and Michael Wacha has certainly done that so far. Through his first 15 starts, Wacha is 10-3 with a 2.77 ERA.
May 10 – Cardinals hit into 4-5-5 triple play
It's just one inning in a season full of them so the fact that it was the Cardinals that hit into a triple play will likely slip in everyone's mind, but Cardinals' fans will still have to relive that moment over and over when season highlights are shown.

Big things have been expected of Randal Grichuk and it's starting to look like 2015 may be his breakout campaign. The outfielder has started to receive regular playing time and has been a bright spot for the Cardinals as he continues to produce.

May 29 – Matt Adams' surgery
The Cardinals were dealt another big blow when Matt Adams tore his right quadriceps muscle. The first baseman had surgery in late may and may be back by the end of the season.
