News: Paulino (shoulder) threw one inning in Monday's game against the Cardinals.
Impact: Paulino suffered a shoulder injury and then aggravated it during rehab in 2014. We suspect he'll be part of Triple-A Pawtucket's starting rotation, but there are others ahead of him if Boston's needs to call up a starter in an emergency.

News: Paulino (shoulder) signed a minor league contract with the Red Sox, SB Nation's Chris Cotillo reports.
Impact: After undergoing Tommy John surgery during the 2012 season, Paulino bounced back to open 2014 in the White Sox's starting rotation. He posted an 11.29 ERA over four starts, before landing on the disabled list due to a shoulder injury. He aggravated the injury during his rehab assignment, and then spent the rest of the season on the 60-day DL. Paulino figures to open 2015 in the minor leagues, if he's healthy enough to pitch.
