News: Johnson was traded from the Rangers to the Dodgers on Tuesday in exchange for cash considerations, John Blake of texasrangers.com reports.
Impact: Johnson wasn't going to make the Opening Day roster in Texas, and that's probably still the case in Los Angeles, as the Dodgers have solid infield depth. This may just be a case of the Dodgers using their deep pockets to provide insurance for a worst-case scenario.

News: Johnson signed a minor league contract with the Rangers on Monday that includes an invite to spring training, the Fort Worth Star Telegram's Jeff Wilson reports.
Impact: This news came the same day that it was announced that Jurickson Profar would miss the entire season after shoulder surgery, so it is understandable that the Rangers were searching for some middle infield depth. Johnson has some speed, but he is a career .215 hitter in 826 plate appearances in the big leagues, so there is not much upside here from a fantasy perspective. Look for him to start the year at Triple-A.
