News: Hamels said he wants the Phillies to trade him, USA Today reports. "I just want to win," Hamels said. "That's all. That's all any competitor wants. And I know it's not going to happen here."
Impact: Hamels is not demanding a trade, but he clearly wants to head to a contender. The Phillies have been shopping him this offseason, but have not found a suitable offer yet. GM Ruben Amaro Jr. recently said eight clubs have expressed interest in Hamels, and four have made offers.

News: GM Ruben Amaro Jr. said he expects Hamels to be with the Phillies when the regular season begins, the Philadelphia Inquirer reports. "If I was going to handicap it," Amaro said, "I would probably say that he'd be in our pinstripes on Opening Day and pitching against Boston."
Impact: The Phillies have tried to move Hamels this offseason, but their asking price has been too high for other teams. Amaro said clubs are still making inquiries, but there is no pressure for the team to move Hamels.

News: The Padres have had discussions about trading for Hamels with Wil Myers as potential bait, the Philadelphia Daily News reports.
Impact: The Phillies are shopping Hamels and are reportedly looking for two or three premium prospects in return. Myers, who is under team control for five more seasons, would likely be an enticing piece of any package for Hamels.
