News: Fien threw a scoreless inning in Wednesday's spring training loss to Tampa Bay. He lowered his spring ERA to 1.13 with just a 2:1 K:BB in eight innings.
Impact: Fien's lack of strikeouts this spring are concerning, but he may just be working on pitches as one of the few veterans considered a lock for the bullpen. Fien will likely be the top setup option bridging the gap to closer Glen Perkins.

News: Fien and the Twins avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year, $1.375 million deal Friday, the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
Impact: Fien is a bit prone to allowing home runs, but he posted a superb walk rate in 2014 (1.4 BB/9) and managed to improve his velocity from the previous year. He should be one of Minnesota's lead bullpen pitchers in 2015.
