News: Hechavarria (shoulder) is expected to return to the Marlins' lineup Thursday, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports.
Impact: Hechavarria has been sidelined with a "dead arm" since the Marlins' Grapefruit League opener last Thursday, but the team was never overly concerned with the injury. Reid Brignac and Donovan Soloano -- both competing for bench roles -- have been filling in for Hechavarria as he's rested the shoulder over the past several days.

News: Hechavarria (shoulder) remained out of the Marlins' lineup Tuesday.
Impact: The shortstop, suffering from a sore throwing shoulder, took some at-bats in a simulated game Monday, but is apparently not yet ready to return to the starting lineup. All reports from the team have characterized the injury as minor and Hechavarria is fully expected to rejoin the team at some point this week. Donovan Solano is getting the start at shortstop in his place.

News: Hechavarria (right shoulder) will be out of the Marlins' Grapefruit League lineup until Tuesday, Joe Frisaro of MLB.com reports.
Impact: As the players kick off the rust in the opening days of spring training Hechavarria is apparently suffering from some mild tiredness in his throwing shoulder. A couple of days on the sideline will likely do the trick for the Marlins' starting shortstop. Hechavarria put together a punchless .276/.308/.356 slash line in 2014 and will be more useful to the Marlins in the field than at the dish.
