FOX Sports Midwest will begin airing Indiana Pacers telecasts in Missouri and Illinois for the first time, with plans to show 38 games in 2012-13 on FOX Sports Midwest and alternate channel FOX Sports Midwest Plus.
The first Pacers game distributed in Missouri and Illinois will be Friday, Jan. 4, when the Pacers visit Boston. That game, along with Saturday’s vs. Milwaukee, will air on FOX Sports Midwest Plus. The first game scheduled for the FOX Sports Midwest main channel comes Tuesday, Jan. 8, when the Pacers host defending NBA champion Miami.
Approximately eight games will air on FOX Sports Midwest, with 30 airing on FOX Sports Midwest Plus(click for channel numbers). The complete schedule is attached.
Pacers games will be available in the FOX Sports Midwest footprint in Illinois and Missouri, except for the Kansas City and St. Joseph DMAs. The games are available to all video providers that carry FOX Sports Midwest. Initially, they are not expected to be carried on DirecTV and Dish Network.
Pacers games are broadcast by play-by-play announcer Chris Denari, who’s joined by veteran analyst Quinn Buckner, former Pacers player Austin Croshere and host and sideline reporter Brooke Olzendam. Telecasts are produced by FOX Sports Indiana. The Pacers Live pregame and postgame shows will also air in Missouri and Illinois.
The Pacers are currently in first place in the NBA’s Central division. Last season, they finished third in the Eastern Conference and pushed eventual champion Miami to six games in a second-round playoff series.
