Holliday scatched from Cardinals’ lineup with back spasms

ST. LOUIS — St. Louis outfielder Matt Holliday was scratched from the Cardinals’ starting lineup on Monday night with back spasms.

Holliday was in the initial lineup, but was removed 20 minutes before the contest.

Holliday also missed Sunday’s game at Milwaukee with the same ailment.

Shane Robinson replaced Holliday in left field on Monday.

Holliday was 13 for 26 on the recently completed seven-game road trip. He is hitting .298 with 20 homers and 91 RBIs.
