Blues' Oshie in favor of Hull's return to St. Louis

He doesn't know the specifics behind Brett Hull's likely return. He doesn't need to, really. The word is out, and it appears it is just a matter of time now.
Excitement is a hard thing to hide.
"I haven't heard too much about it, but if that's the case, I think it's awesome," Oshie said Friday. "Obviously, he is probably one of the most well-known players in town here. An unbelievable guy, a great team guy who knows the players' side of the game probably a lot better than most people. It will be great to have him up there."
Hull, the Blues' all-time leading goal scorer whose No. 16 has since been retired, is in the process of becoming the team's vice president, according to a St. Louis Post-Dispatch report. The move will reunite the former right wing with the organization he played for from 1987-1998.
Consider Oshie in favor of the addition -- whenever it becomes official.
"I've talked to him a couple times, in the locker room," the center said. "He's full of stories, and he has some good ones. A really great, stand-up guy. He loves being around the boys. For guys like me, it's just an honor to meet him."
Hull has spent most of his career after hockey working as an executive with the Dallas Stars. While his front office job in St. Louis -- a position focused specifically on business, according to the report -- will keep him off the ice, few feel he would distance himself from the players.
There's actually a good chance they will seek him out.
"No matter what position he is in, he will always help the guys, help the players," Oshie said. "It's great having that on your side."
