ST. LOUIS — The St. Louis Blues assigned 29-year-old forward Chris Porter to the Chicago Wolves — the Blues’ American Hockey League affiliate — on Sunday. The move reduced the Blues’ roster to 23 players, the maximum number allowed on the regular-season roster.
Porter (6 feet 1, 209 pounds) posted eight points (two goals and six assists) in 29 games last season. In four NHL seasons, all with the Blues, Porter has recorded 24 points (10 goals, 14 assists) and 27 penalty minutes in 127 career games.
Porter was signed by the Blues as a free agent on Aug. 21, 2007.
