KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- As expected, the Royals avoided arbitration with right-hander Aaron Crow, signing him to a one-year deal Friday.

Crow reportedly will receive $1.475 million for 2014. Crow had asked for $1.7 million and the Royals had countered at $1.28 million.

The only remaining Royal unsigned is right-hander Greg Holland.

Crow, 27, was 7-5 with a 3.38 ERA in 57 appearances last season. He was an All-Star in 2011.
