Pacers bring rookie Niang back from Fort Wayne

Rookie forward Georges Niang will be back on the bench with the Indiana Pacers when they host the Charlotte Hornets on Monday night.

The Pacers recalled Niang from the Fort Wayne Mad Ants, their affiliate in the NBA’s Development League, on Monday.

Niang opened the season with the Pacers, averaging 0.8 points and one rebound per game over 13 games. After being sent to Fort Wayne he played three games with the Mad Ants, getting extensive playing time and averaging 16.0 points and 3.7 rebounds.
