Santa Anita will close for training from July 17-Sept. 4 to renovate the stable area and grandstand before the fall racing meet opens.

SADDLE UP

Time after time, Hollywood has shown a racetrack is a great place to tell a compelling story. We look at 10 must-see horse racing movies.

Horses that were originally scheduled to stable and train at the track will have to do so at Betfair Hollywood Park in Inglewood.

Santa Anita will remain open for training through Hollywood Park's spring-summer meet that ends July 14. The track's closure coincides with Del Mar's summer meet from July 17-Sept. 4, making it easier for Santa Anita-based horses to move either to the seaside track north of San Diego or to Inglewood.

Santa Anita's fall meet begins Sept. 27. The track will host the Breeders' Cup from Nov. 1-2.
