Wildcat Red edged General a Rod by a head Saturday in the $400,000 Fountain of Youth Stakes at Gulfstream Park after they battled for the lead almost the entire race.

Top Billing, the 2-1 favorite, finished third by two lengths in the 1-1/16-mile race for 3-year-olds.

SADDLE UP

Time after time, Hollywood has shown a racetrack is a great place to tell a compelling story. We look at 10 must-see horse racing movies.

Wildcat Red was ridden by Luis Saez and won in 1:41.85. He is trained by Jose Garoffalo. Wildcat Red paid $11 to win, at 9-2 odds.

He earned 50 qualifying points for the Kentucky Derby and is virtually assured a spot in the race on May 3 at Churchill Downs. General a Rod earned 20 points, which could be enough for one of the 20 Kentucky Derby spots.

Saturday's victory reversed the outcome of the Gulfstream Park Derby on Jan. 1. General a Rod beat Wildcat Red by a head after a lengthy stretch duel in that mile race.

Onlyforyou remained unbeaten in four career starts by defeating House Rules by 2-1/4 lengths in the Grade 2 Davona Dale Stakes at 1-1/16 miles on dirt for 3-year-old fillies.

Javier Castellano rode Onlyforyou, who led almost the entire race and won in 1:43.71.

It was one of six wins for Castellano on the 12-race card.

Onlyforyou paid $4.20.
