Jockey Victor Espinoza has earned his 3,000th career victory aboard Flashy Delight in the fourth race at Betfair Hollywood Park.

They crossed the finish line 8 lengths in front Friday.

Espinoza reached the milestone nearly 21 years after he won his first race at Hipodromo De Las Americas in his hometown of Mexico City. The 41-year-old jockey is 12th on Betfair Hollywood Park's career list with 928 victories.

''It was kind of an exciting feeling coming down the stretch, like, `Now I did it, 3,000 finally,''' Espinoza said. ''Some days you come and feel you have a good chance to win and the horses don't run. But the last sixteenth of a mile I thought, `Now, it's done,' so I can have fun.'''

Espinoza was the second jockey to collect his 3,000th win at the spring-summer meet. Rafael Bejarano reached the milestone on May 11.
