With Rosie Napravnik aboard, Vicar's in Trouble broke out of the gate with the leaders and steadily pulled away, winning by nearly seven lengths.

Vicar's in Trouble completed the mile-and-70-yard race in 1:42.57, earning $120,000 for the victory. The winner paid $5.40, $4 and $2.80 while boosting his career earnings to $148,900 with the second victory of his three-race career.

Albano finished second, paying $8 and $3.80, while 3-1 favorite Gold Hawk finished third, a half-length behind Albano, and paid $2.20.

The $200,000 Lecomte is the first of three Kentucky Derby prep races at the Fair Grounds Race Course, followed by the Risen Star Stakes and the Louisiana Derby.
