(from Hollywood Park report)
Tates Creek, victorious in the Gamely Breeders' Cup Handicap (gr. IT) last month, will seek her fifth straight graded stakes win Saturday in Hollywood Park's $200,000 Beverly Hills Handicap (gr. IIT) for fillies andmares at 1 1/4 miles on turf.

The 5-year-old mare from Bobby Frankel's barn will be confronted by stablemate Megahertz in the field of six, as well as Dublino, who Tates Creek upset by one length in the $350,000 Gamely with Megahertz one-half length back in third.

Should Tates Creek extend her victory streak to five, she would become only the third female in Hollywood Park history to win both the Gamely and Beverly Hills. She would join Astra, 2002, and Manta, 1971, in completing the double during a span that covers more than 3 1/2 decades.

Tates Creek, with Patrick Valenzuela back aboard, will carry high weight of 123 pounds, one more than Dublino, to be ridden for the first time by Victor Espinoza. The pair carried equal weights of 122 in the May26 Gamely. Megahertz drops a pound from the Gamely to 117 while being reunited with jockey Alex Solis.

Voodoo Dancer, assigned 120 pounds, has shipped in from New York to take another run at Tates Creek after narrowly missing twice. She was beaten by aneck in Oak Tree's Las Palmas Handicap last November and by a nose in Saratoga's memorable Diana Handicap (gr. IT) last July.

Owned by Juddmonte Farms, Tates Creek has won 10 of 14 career starts while twice running second for earnings of $1,121,007. Voodoo Dancer, also a 5-year-old, is the field's other millionairess. Trained by Christophe Clement for Green Hill Farm, the bay daughter of Kingmambo has posted a 9-4-2 record in 18 starts. Voodoo Dancer has banked $1,007,952.

Dublino and Megahertz are 4-year-old fillies. Laura de Seroux, who handled Astra in last year's Beverly Hills, trains Dublino. The Kentucky-bred daughter of Lear Jet has recorded three wins and as many seconds in seven starts for earnings of $458,390. The British-bred Megahertz hasearned $863,294 from a 7-3-4 mark in 19 career races.
