SADDLE UP

Time after time, Hollywood has shown a racetrack is a great place to tell a compelling story. We look at 10 must-see horse racing movies.

After nearly falling and finishing 10th in his last start, the CashCall Futurity on Dec. 14 at Hollywood Park, Kobe's Back ran seven furlongs in 1:21.84 in the prep race for the $1 million Santa Anita Derby.

"Last time, he clipped heels, and that was a tough race over at Hollywood," jockey Joel Rosario said. "He handled the seven furlongs well today."

The 3-year-old returned $5.40 for a $2 win bet and earned $120,000 to raise his earnings to $120,250. He has two wins in four starts.

Cherubim was second, and Rprettyboyfloyd finished third.

Meanwhile, Red Outlaw beat favorite Gangnam Guy by a head in the $75,000 Baffles Stakes for 3-year-olds. Horse Laugh was third.

Red Outlaw ran 6-1/2 furlongs in 1:06.39 and paid $7.20.
