MEXICO CITY, MEXICO

Tyler Walker, driver of the No. 38 Great Clips Dodge, started 12th for the running of the Telcel Motorola 200 at Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez. Bad luck plagued Walker in today's race, and the Great Clips team finished the 80-lap event in 24th position. Walker started his first road course race in the 12th position and inexperience was never an issue for the Los Angeles native. The Great Clips team had moved into the 3rd spot by lap 25 and was challenging for the 2nd position when he spun through the gravel. The incident caused the car to become very tight and Walker dropped back to 18th by lap 32. Great pit stops and persistence by Walker moved the 38 team back up to the 10th position by lap 72. Just when they were charging their way towards the front, the No. 42 of Jamie McMurray made contact with the Great Clips Dodge resulting in a loss of 16 spots. The team finished in the 24th spot. "How frustrating for this Great Clips Team," said Walker. "We had such a good car and we were looking forward to leaving Mexico with a great finish. It's just one of those things that is out of your control and unfortunately we have to suffer as a team because of it." Martin Truex Jr., took the checkered flag in the Telcel Motorola 200 followed by Kevin Harvick, Carl Edwards, Shane Hmiel and Boris Said to complete the top five.
