Position: Defensive end College: Arizona State Height: 6-3 Weight: 262 40-yard dash: 4.6 Hometown: Chicago, Ill. Suggs is an undersized speed rusher who is trying to make as big an impact as Dwight Freeney and Julius Peppers did last year. He may be on the small side but is incredibly quick and causes havoc. He set the single season sack record, previously held by Peppers. Because of his size, he will probably struggle a bit in the running game. He has a strong upper body and will use it to keep blockers off of him. He is so quick off the line, he is almost impossible to get a hand on. He has more than enough speed to turn the corner and closes quickly on a quarterback. Suggs has excellent body control and change of direction skills. He has a great motor and will never give up on a play. He will sometimes overrun a play and take himself out of it. He is a powerful, sure tackler and could be used as a rush linebacker in a 3-4 defense, though he has never done that. He is a former running back and has only been an end for three years, so he still has some things to learn. The biggest knock on Suggs was his size, but he came to the combine weighing in around 265, putting many people's fears to rest.
