Shaun Phillips Scouting Report

Phillips led Purdue with 14.5 sacks during the 2003 campaign, earning him a spot on the first-team All-Big Ten defensive squad. During his collegiate career, Phillips has played both the right and left end positions. His strong awareness, long wingspan, and good hands make him a viable pass rusher. However, scouts are concerned with his size, which could allow him to be "rag dolled" in the trenches. If Phillips cannot beat an offensive lineman with his first step, his chances of rolling off the block are slim.
