Geathers is an early entry into the NFL draft, starting all 14 games for the Bulldogs this year. Geathers made a big contribution to a defensive line that finished first in the SEC and fourth nationally in scoring in 2002. His uncle, Jumpy Geathers, was a lineman for the Washington Redskins, and his father played for the Buffalo Bills. He had 33 tackles and three sacks for a team that finished second nationally in scoring defense and fourth nationally in total defense. Geathers had a 2003-season best seven tackles against South Carolina.
