DOVER, Del.

David Reutimann captured his sixth career Bud Pole Award at Dover International Speedway today with a qualifying lap of 23.391 seconds (153.905 mph). Reutimann is 106 points out of first-place in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series driver's points standings as he prepares to continue his points climb at Dover this afternoon.

"To be able to start on the pole at is awesome," said Reutimann. "The truck was as good as I could have asked for. We rolled through the center really good and got back in the gas soon. It was a good lap, but I wasn't sure if it would hold up or not. I thought it would keep us at least in the top-five."

Reutimann's best finish at the concrete one-mile oval is fifth, which occurred last season.

"Anything that could have went wrong last season, went wrong up until Dover," said Reutimann. "Dover was a turning point for us. There was a ton of pressure on me. Because of that, it had to be one of the most miserable races that I have ever run. It's a whole different ball game this year. We're running strong and the team is performing great. We're after our first championship."

The Florida native looks to top his best finish of the season, which is third-place at Gateway International Raceway in April.

"We're overdue for a win," said Reutimann. "We're hoping to get one here today. We've been running very competitive and have had some strong finishes."

The AAA Insurance 200 at Dover International Speedway will begin at 4:45 p.m. Eastern on Friday, June 30th. The event will be aired on SPEED Channel on a tape-delayed basis starting at 8 p.m. Eastern. MRN Radio will carry the event live.
