ROME: Brady deserves the start, but it won't matter

Thursday's guests in New Orleans are three-time Super Bowl MVP, two-time NFL MVP and Pro Football Hall of Famer Joe Montana, along with Cris Collinsworth, a three-time Pro Bowler and a two-time Emmy-award-winning analyst for FOX NFL Sunday. The biggest question of the week here in New Orleans has been answered. Tom Brady will start at quarterback for the Patriots on Sunday over Drew Bledsoe. This alleged quarterback controversy was much ado about nothing. There was nothing controversial about it. If Brady could demonstrate that he was healthy, he would go. If he couldn't, it would be Bledsoe. Bledsoe sparked the club in the AFC Title game, but certainly didn't do anything miraculous enough to dislodge a guy who went 13-3 as a starter. Brady got the Pats here, and he deserves the start. As much as I mentioned yesterday on the program, and not to throw another log on the fire, but I don't really think it matters who starts for the Patriots. Tom Brady, Drew Bledsoe, Steve Grogan, Matt Cavanaugh, Tony Eason, Hugh Millen, Scott Zolak, whatever. They're not going to win Sunday. I don't think it will be the blowout that most are expecting, but the Rams are going to pick up their second ring in three years.
