Position: College: Colorado Height: 6-0 Weight: 207 40-yard dash: 4.6 Bench press: 380 pounds (bench presses 225 pounds 16 times) Hometown: Houston, Texas A very physical safety who hits hard, Michael Lewis has shown steady improvement in four seasons at Colorado. Blossoming into a fierce presence in the middle of the field in 2000, Lewis used his 6-0, 207-pound frame to record 111 tackles. Registering 112 total stops last year, the senior also developed much better anticipation skills in pass coverage, as he snared five interceptions. Lewis' greatest strength is his physical and aggressive nature. The creator of eight fumbles during his collegiate career, he makes receivers think twice before crossing the middle. His run support is better than average, and his closing speed is exceptional for a safety. He still needs to work on his play recognition, but his skills will warrant an early draft selection.
