Bench Press: 275 pounds

Hometown: Tacoma, Wash.

Trufant was considered a good cornerback fighting to be the second corner drafted. Then he went to the Senior Bowl and came out of Mobile as the second corner and possibly the first.

He had an outstanding showing in Mobile, and there wasn't a wide receiver that could catch a pass against him there. He has average size but great speed. Trufant is a natural athlete who is fluid in his coverage skills.

He is quick out of his backpedal and has nice hip movement when turning and running with receivers. He has excellent hands. He is experienced as well, as he has started since the middle of his freshman year. He has started every game since, except for five games during his junior year when he broke his hand.

He has good speed but not enough to make up for mistakes. He does a good job of breaking on passes and times his jumps quite well. Trufant isn't big or much of a factor in run support, but he tries and won't shy away from contact.
