Rancho Santa Fe, CA (Sports Network) - Hard-hitting Hank Kuehne will team up with world No. 1 at the 2004 edition of the Battle at The Bridges. The duo will square off against and in primetime on August 2nd. "Each year we try to find something different to appeal to our primetime audience," said Alastair Johnston, President and Co-CEO of IMG. "This year, with , Hank Kuehne and joining Woods, we have assembled a field with exceptional length and skill that will appeal to all sports fans."

The two-team, best-ball event will be contested at The Bridges with a live primetime broadcast from ABC Sports.

This year's event will feature a total purse of $1.4 million, with the winning duo splitting $1 million. The other pair will share $400,000 and a total of $300,000 will be designated from the winnings and contributed to charity.

To take advantage of the length of the players in this year's event, the $300,000 will be determined on six long-driving holes. On these designated holes, the longest driver in the fairway will earn $25,000 for his charity and the charity of his teammate.

"This is a foursome to get excited about," said Loren Matthews, Vice President of Programming, ABC Sports. "The long-driving holes are going to add to the drama and entertainment for our primetime audience."
