NASHVILLE, Tenn.

Kasey Kahne, driver of the No. 38 Great Clips Dodge, qualified sixth for Saturday's Pepsi 300 NASCAR Busch Series race at Nashville Superspeedway.

Kahne completed a lap around the 1.33-mile speedway in 29.021 seconds for an average speed of 165.356 miles per hour.

"That wasn't too bad of a lap," said Kahne. "I was much tighter off the corners, which killed me during my laps. We just have to figure out how to make this Great Clips Dodge better. We were two-tenths (of a second) slower than the leader, so we need to get that better. It should put us starting in the top eight, so I shouldn't complain that much. I know these guys are working hard to get it ready for Happy Hour and tomorrow's race."

Martin Truex, Jr., won the pole position with a lap at 166.515 miles per hour in 28.819 seconds. Johnny Benson, Bobby Hamilton, Jr., Jason Keller and Johnny Sauter complete the top five.

The Pepsi 300 goes green at 4 p.m. (EST) Saturday. FX has live television coverage while MRN Radio also has live coverage.
