Position: / College: South Carolina Height: 6-5 Weight: 251 40-yard dash: 4.75 Bench press: 400 pounds (bench presses 225 pounds 22 times) Hometown: Atlanta, Ga. There are a lot of questions surrounding Edwards, but the big question is, "Is he an end or a linebacker?" What no one will question is the fact that he is a very talented and dominating defensive player. He is extremely quick, will create havoc and run plays down all over the field. He has good size and is a tremendous athlete. He has a very quick first step and is a very good edge rusher. He has a huge wing span and will bat balls down at the line of scrimmage. He does a good job of shedding blockers, and then has a tremendous second gear that allows him to get to the quarterback or running back. He does have trouble sometimes with more physical linemen, but that is a rarity. If he works as an end he will have to bulk up a little. He also will have to get used to the three-point stance, as he was used more as a linebacker in college. At his best when he is allowed to play in the open field, he is more comfortable playing as a linebacker; but his coverage skills are only average for that position. What he needs to have happen for him is to get drafted by a team using a 3-4 defense, as he would be a perfect fit as the rush linebacker position.
