SRT Paint Schemes for Nos. 9 and 19 Chargers at the Dodge/Save-Mart 350
At this weekend's NASCAR Nextel Cup Series event at Infineon Raceway, Evernham Motorsports teammates Jeremy Mayfield and Kasey Kahne take Dodge's innovative Street and Racing Technology (SRT) product line from the street to the racetrack with special SRT paint schemes on their Dodge Chargers. "What better way to bring attention to the powerful performance of our Dodge SRT lineup than to call it out on the hoods of two of our most powerful drivers ¿ Jeremy Mayfield and Kasey Kahne," said Mike Accavitti, director of Dodge SRT and Motorsports Marketing. "With the national television audience that NASCAR attracts and the number of automotive enthusiasts who tune into the race, it's the perfect opportunity to build awareness for our great Dodge SRT products now available in dealer showrooms across America. "NASCAR fans might not be able to drive the race cars that Kasey and Jeremy do, but the Dodge SRT products are about the closest they can come to the power, handling and performance of a Cup car that is street legal," added Accavitti. Dodge SRT vehicles offer the boldest, most powerful performance for the Dodge lineup. Every SRT vehicle showcases five key aspects: Exterior styling that resonates with the brand image; race-inspired interiors; top-notch ride and handling characteristics across a dynamic range; benchmark braking; and standout powertrain. Kahne's No. 9 Dodge Dealers/UAW Dodge SRT Charger will carry their signature bold red Dodge color, in addition to white on the rear quarter panels and black striping along the sides. SRT lettering is on the sides and hood of Kahne's Dodge Charger. Mayfield's No. 19 Dodge Dealers/UAW Dodge SRT Charger will take a more bold tact with bright yellow on the hood and the sides, eventually blending to black on the rear quarter panels and back of the car. It will be a distinctive look for the No. 19 Dodge Charger. Like the No. 9, red SRT lettering will be on the hood and quarter panels. Another notable change in the schemes is the Dodge Charger's rear panel, which displays Dodge's website with information regarding the SRT program and encourages viewers to visit Dodge's SRT website, www.driveSRT.com. Key Dodge SRT vehicles include the Dodge Charger SRT8, Dodge Caliber SRT4, Dodge Magnum SRT8, Dodge Ram SRT10 and the Dodge Viper SRT10. For more information on the line of Dodge SRT vehicles, visitwww.driveSRT.com or http://www.dodge.com/. Diecast models of the Nos. 9 and 19 Dodge Dealers/UAW Dodge SRT Charger scheme will be available later this summer.
