It was the seventh career top-10 finish for the driver of the No. 11 FedEx Express Chevrolet. J.J. Yeley, driver of the No. 18 Interstate Batteries Chevrolet, finished 12th to post his sixth top-15 effort of the season. Tony Stewart, driver of the No. 20 Home Depot Chevrolet, was in the lead by lap 63 of the 308-lap race, but a bump from the No. 12 Dodge of Ryan Newman on lap 91 sent Stewart spinning into the turn three wall. Leading at the time of the accident, Stewart was forced to the garage area for repairs. He lost 23 laps and finished a distant 37th. Despite the disappointing outcome for Stewart, he continues to lead the trio of JGR drivers in the championship point standings. The two-time and reigning Nextel Cup champion dropped four spots to 11th, 11 points out of the top-10 and 458 markers arrears series leader Jimmie Johnson. Hamlin and Yeley sit 12th and 27th, respectively. Both drivers maintained their point positions with their solid runs at New Hampshire. Kyle Busch scored his third career Nextel Cup victory and his first of the season by winning the Lenox Industrial Tools 300. Carl Edwards finished second, while Greg Biffle, Mark Martin and Kevin Harvick secured the rest of the top-five. Hamlin, Jeff Burton, Kasey Kahne, Johnson and Scott Riggs comprised the rest of the top-10. The next event on the Nextel Cup schedule is the July 23 Pennsylvania 500 at Pocono (Pa.) Raceway. The race begins at 2:05 p.m. EDT with live coverage provided by TNT.
