Position: Running back College: Colorado Height: 6-3 Weight: 220 40-yard dash: 4.55 Hometown: Naperville, Ill. A punishing running back, Brown has demonstrated he knows how to use his size and strength to be a productive, fierce runner against even the stingiest of defenses. After starting with Northwestern in 1999, Brown transferred in from Fort Scott CC to Colorado in 2001. He made an immediate impact for the Buffaloes, highlighted by a Big 12 record six TD performance against rival Nebraska. Last year, he continued to run over defenders, amassing 1,744 yards on the ground, third-best in the country. While he possesses good leg drive, quickness, and power up the middle, he has not been asked to do much else other than run the football; his blocking and receiving ability have never really been tested. His aggressive running style, in which he always struggles for the extra yard, can result in him being stripped of the ball, evidenced by his eight fumbles last year. If he is placed in the right system, however, there is no question his development should continue.
