Richmond, VA (Sports Network) - After completing 10 races of the 2004 Busch season, Johnny Benson and Phoenix Racing have decided to go in different directions. Also separating after last week's race in Madison, IL is driver David Starr and Holigan Racing. On Tuesday, Phoenix Racing owner James Finch named Jamie McMurray as driver of the No.1 Dodge for Friday night's Funai 250 at Richmond International Raceway.

Benson had accumulated just four top-10s and was 17th in the championship following a 29th-place result at the Gateway International Raceway last Saturday.

Starr asked to be released from his part-time Busch Series responsibilities to concentrate on his full-time Craftsman Truck Series effort.

"We are great friends with David and while we are sorry he will not be with our team, we totally understand his need to be with a team running the full season," said Michael Holigan. "We wish him the best."
