SCOUTING REPORT: Though Collie is skipping his senior season to enter the NFL draft, he'll be an older rookie at 24 years old after serving a two-year Mormon church mission in Argentina following his freshman year at BYU. A second-team AP All-American, Collie led the nation in total receiving yards with 1,538 and receiving yards per game with an average of 118.31 as a junior. He had 106 receptions and 15 TDs. Averaged 162.4 all-purpose yards per game to rank 12th in the nation while helping BYU to a 10-3 record and No. 16 ranking in the final BCS standings. Tied an NCAA record with 11 consecutive games of 100 or more receiving yards this past season. Earned second-team All-Mountain West Conference honors with 56 catches for 946 yards as a sophomore. Averaged 15.1 yards a catch for his career even though he lacks top speed. Plays faster than his 40-yard dash time. Makes up for lack of speed with soft hands, good vision and quickness. Uses his hands and agility to separate from press coverage. A smart route runner, often baiting defenders by starting his routes slower than usual. Good bulk, has the strength to run through arm tackles. Has some value on special teams. Averaged 27.5 yards on 18 kickoff returns in 2008. Gaudy stats may be due to his questionable level of competition. Defenses also had to worry about tight end Dennis Pitta, giving Collie more room to get open. A likely mid-round pick. -STATS
