Notes:
  • The running of the Goody's Headache Powder 200 at North Carolina Speedway will be the fifth time Kasey has competed at the 1.017-mile high-banked oval.
  • The Great Clips team is taking chassis #36 to Rockingham, which is the same car that they raced in 2003 at Nashville Superspeedway (first race); Pikes Peak International Raceway; and Bristol Motor Speedway (second race). The car also competed at North Carolina Speedway (second race) for Evernham Motorsports with driver Jeremy Mayfield behind the wheel. Mayfield finished fourth after qualifying third in the No. 79 Mt. Dew Dodge, an Akins Motorsports-built machine.
  • The Great Clips team sits in 43rd position in the overall NASCAR Busch Series points. Last weekend at Daytona International Speedway, the team finished 43rd after being involved in an accident early in the race. Kasey started the event in ninth position.

Kasey's thoughts on North Carolina Speedway:
"I like racing at Rockingham. It's a track that wears out tires pretty quickly, and I've always raced well on tracks like that. Last year we had some electrical problems, which prevented us from bringing home good finishes in both races. I am really looking forward to making up for the 43rd place finish that we had in Daytona. I'm ready to give Great Clips a nice finish, and hopefully Rockingham will be the place that we do it."
