News: Johnson fired a 3-under par 67 to finish 13-under and T9 at the Sony Open in Hawaii.
Impact: Johnson was in position entering the weekend at 10-under, but faltered on Saturday's back nine, carding an even par 70. That effectively took him out of contention for the win. He was within shouting distance on Sunday's front nine, but had just one birdie coming home and finished seven strokes behind the winner. Johnson is in the field for this week's CareerBuilder Challenge.

News: Johnson shot a 6-under 67 on Sunday to finish T21 at 11-under in the Hyundai Tournament of Champions at Kapalua, Hawaii.
Impact: Johnson got behind the pack when he was 2-over after 18 holes. At Kapalua, you can't have any rounds over par if you expect to challenge. The two-time winner of a major tournament is coming off a career-high $4.8 million in earnings and figures to be a safe bet anytime he's in the field.

News: Johnson finished alone in 12th at the Hero World Challenge after a final-round 70 on Sunday.
Impact: Johnson only recorded five bogeys and zero double bogeys or worse throughout the tournament, so the issue he faced was just a matter of too many pars and not enough birdies to contend for a win. The highlight of his week came during the third round, when he went bogey-free en route to a five-under performance. He'll tee it up again this week at the Franklin Templeton Shootout.
