Here's everything you need to know about the 2017 U.S. Women’s Amateur on FS1.

The Women’s Amateur takes place August 7th through the 13th at the San Diego Country Club in Chula Vista, California. The par-72 course will play 6,423 yards for the women, with the par-4 4th hole considered the hardest on the course.

This year’s field of 156 golfers features 19-year-old Hannah O’Sullivan, an incoming Duke freshman who won the 2015 U.S. Women’s Amateur, and six of the top 10 players in the Women’s World Amateur Golf Ranking.”

Notable past winners include Juli Inkster, who claimed three straight Amateur titles from 1980 to 1982, and JoAnne Gunderson Carner, who won five times between 1957 and 1968.

Now, this isn’t your typical golf tournament. In fact, it’s more like two events in one.

Monday and Tuesday featured 36 holes of stroke play, with the top 64 players advancing to a bracket-style match play tournament. The tournament concludes with a 36-hole championship match on Sunday.”
