Michael Putnam won his second straight Web.com Tour title Sunday, closing with a 2-under-par 68 for a two-stroke victory in the Mid-Atlantic Championship.

Putnam, the Mexico Open winner last week, earned $108,000 to increase his tour-leading total to $354,234, more than $132,000 in front of No. 2 Edward Loar. The former Pepperdine player finished at 7-under 273 at TPC Potomac at Avenel Farm. He turned 30 on Saturday.

''It's the second week in a row and I can't get used to it enough,'' Putnam said.

Chesson Hadley had a 67 to finish second. Bronson La'Cassie, Daniel Chopra and Chad Collins followed at 3 under. La'Cassie had a 67, Chopra shot 70, and Collins had a 72.

Putnam, tied for the third-round lead at 5 under, birdied three of the first six holes to take control.

''To pull away from the field early was big, especially with the windy conditions and knowing it was going to be a tough day,'' Putnam said. ''It was going to be tough to make any birdies today and to start off with three cemented the lead for a good while.''

He will play Monday in a 36-hole US Open sectional qualifier at Woodmont Country Club in Rockville, Md.
