Boo Weekley did not have a very good day at PGA National during the second round of the Honda Classic, but he nearly salvaged his round with an ultra-rare double eagle from 248 yards away. After a long drive at the par-5 18th left him in the fairway, Weekley dropped his approach shot just a few feet in front of the hole.
The ball bounced once and landed again agonzingly close to the hole, then bounced off the pin and rolled away. Weekley would card a birdie on the hole, but his five double bogeys over the first two rounds ruined any chance he had to make the cut. Hitting a walk-off albatross would have been a nice consolation prize, but golf is unfair.
