PGA Tour’s Kevin Chappell dunks eagle from 158 yards

Kevin Chappell carded a rare eagle on the par-4 10th hole at Colonial Country Club Thursday, dropping a 158-yard shot in the cup.

If you aren’t familiar with the 29-year-old yet, you probably will be by the end of the year. Chappell might be the best player on the PGA Tour yet to win an event, and sits in fifth in the FedEx Cup standings with three second-place finishes and five top-10s this year. Chappel is hovering around the bubble to make the Ryder Cup team this fall, and jumped to 10th in the Ryder Cup standings after a strong showing at the Players.

His best finish at a major came in his first U.S. Open back in 2011, when he finished in a tie for third at Congressional, 10 shots back of Rory McIlroy.
