Meyer, from Ithaca, New York, finished in 55 minutes, 34.30 seconds, edging Jordan Wilimovsky of Malibu and Joey Pedraza of Borward, Florida. Wilimovsky was second in 55:34.57, and Pedraza third in 55:35.00.
''I wanted to get out to a good start and stay close to the front,'' said Meyer, a 2012 Olympian. ''I drafted well throughout the race and was able to save a lot of energy for the final stretch.''
Anderson, from Granite Bay, won the event for the second time, finishing in 1:00:08.37. Tristin Baxter of Fresno was second in 1:00:09.59, followed by Eva Fabian of Keene, New Hampshire in 1:00:10.56.
''Coming around the last buoy, I was getting pinched in, so I went wide,'' said Anderson, a 2012 Olympic silver medalist. ''I wanted to be able to put my head down and just sprint into the finish.''
