Jason Day laces up with Blue Jackets
Hockey players usually make for good golfers — but do golfers make for good hockey players?
Columbus, Ohio, native Jason Day took to the ice on Oct. 8 with the Columbus Blue Jackets before the team left for a road trip.
For his first time on the ice, Day does a pretty good job. Day doesn't fall, but he does do a lot of figure skating turns to keep his balance — and he wasn’t hugging the glass (trying to stay on the two blades) as much as he thought he was going to be.
As any hockey player would know, lifting the puck off the ice is hard in itself — but Day seems to get it off the ice once or twice in the video.
Defenseman James Wisnieski, a friend of Day’s, said Day had been practicing his shot at his house after he was given a stick by a teammate.
There is no truth to the rumor that Day signed with the team during his off-season.
Anyway, good job Jason — but we suggest you stick to your ‘Day’ job.
